Transportation
Lift-equipped transportation to the airport is available from:

    Local users must pre-register with this service by calling (916) 557-4685 . Registration can take up to 21 days. Out-of-town visitors may also use the service if they are registered with a similar service in their home town. To make a reservation, call at least 2 days in advance.

In addition, four of the auto rental companies at the airport -- Avis, Budget, Hertz and National -- offer vehicles for persons with disabilities (such vehicles must be reserved at least 48 to 72 hours in advance).
TDD Phones
10 telecommunication devices for the deaf (TDD) are located at the airport throughout terminal lobbies and concourses.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchair assistance is available from airlines and curbside skycaps at no charge (skycaps may also assist with luggage). Those wishing to transport a battery-powered wheelchair aboard an aircraft should make arrangements with their air carrier in advance.
Note : All passengers are subject to pre-board security screening which may include a hand search or use of a hand-wand.

Hotel
Does the airport have an on-site hotel?
The Host Airport Hotel closed June 2008 and was patially demolished to make way for construction of the Big Build, a new central terminal complex that will open to the public in 2012. Several local hotels offer free shuttle service to the airport.

Internet
Do you have Internet connections available at the airport?
While some pay phones in the terminals do offer Internet connectivity, Sacramento International Airport also has free wireless Internet (WiFi) connectivity throughout the airport.

What identification is normally needed for air travel?
A government-issued photo ID is required for all adults boarding a plane. For information about identification needs for minors, please contact your airline directly.

Wireless Internet (WiFi)
Does Sacramento International Airprot have WiFi available? How much does it cost?
Sacramento International Airport has free wireless Internet (WiFi) service throughout the indoor, public areas of the airport. SMF's Wi-Fi network has 4 T1 connection, which provides users with speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps. The Wi-Fi 802.11b/g technology allows for speeds up to 54 Mbps, but throughput is governed by the speed at which the device is connected.
